Oliver is a resource geologist and computational geoscientist with 18 years of experience in the Australian and international mining industries, specialising in resource estimation, geological modelling, and data management. He has led sedimentary uranium projects from greenfields to production—especially in-situ recovery sandstone‑hosted/roll‑front and palaeochannel/calcrete systems—building defensible, reproducible workflows that integrate geochemical and geophysical data with reservoir interpretation and modelling techniques developed in the oil and gas industries.
Oliver’s project work combines geological knowledge, technical skills, talented people, and exotic places to produce practical technical solutions and often long-term professional relationships. Oliver maintains a broad modelling toolkit including tNavigator, Leapfrog Geo and Leapfrog Edge, Micromine, RMSP, Isatis Neo, ArcGIS/QGIS, Microsoft SQL Server/Azure SQL Database, and programming languages/frameworks including R, Python and .NET.
Oliver is a JORC Competent Person for uranium (as well as gold, copper, and phosphate). His broader commodity experience includes lithium, cobalt, nickel, mineral sands, and bauxite.
