Alex is an entrepreneurial leader who has taken a somewhat unconventional path in the resources sector. With an engineering-finance background, but no formal geological training, he has developed a passion for exploration and has always gravitated to the exploration and value creation side of the industry. After meeting founder Tim Goyder in late 2017, he joined Chalice Mining and lead the Company initially in the search for an asset, all the way through the Gonneville discovery period and into the current studies and approvals phase.

Alex was recognised as the 'Emerging Leader of the Year' by MiningNews and 'CEO of the Year' by Kitco in 2020. He also received the Young Mining Professionals 'Peter Munk Award' in 2022. He is results-oriented leader with a focus on value creation.

Prior to Chalice he was a Specialist Consultant with global management consultancy McKinsey & Company. He commenced his finance career at a boutique Adelaide small-cap advisory firm. He then pursued an engineering career initially with BHP at Olympic Dam, and then with Santos and Eni as an engineer in oil and gas exploration. He has diverse experience which has given him unique perspectives across the resources industry. He is also a Non-Executive Director for Falcon Metals Limited (ASX:FAL), which spun-out of Chalice in 2022.

  Morgan Fréjabise is an exploration geologist with over 17 years of experience in mineral exploration and discovery, spanning gold, nickel, copper, base metals, and iron ore. He is currently Principal Geologist and co-founder of Peron Discoveries Pty Ltd and Whistlepipe Exploration Pty Ltd, both private consulting firm delivering integrated geological and/or geophysical services to junior and mid-tier mining companies.

Morgan’s career is defined by high-impact greenfield exploration, robust project generation, and technically driven business development. He played a key role in the early reconnaissance and targeting that led to the Gonneville PGE-Ni-Cu-Co-Au discovery (17Moz PGE-Au) at Chalice’s Julimar Project and contributed to the definition of the Bibra Gold (2 Moz Au) and Rosie Nickel (32 kt Ni) deposits with IGO.

He is known for:

• Project generation, acquisition, and technical reviews
• Geological targeting
• Drilling supervision and team mentoring
• Strong stakeholder engagement and strategic advisory
• Hands-on leadership in complex terrains 
• Held leadership roles at ASX listed companies including Gold Road Resources (GOR) and Independence Group (IGO)

Morgan holds a Master of Science in Geoscience from Toulouse University and combines field expertise with 2D to 3D modelling, structural geology, and multi-commodity experience across Archaean and Proterozoic terrains.
