Dr. Yanbo Cheng is a Senior Mineral System Geoscientist at Geoscience Australia (GA). He is currently working on GA’s Resourcing Australia’s Prosperity (RAP) Initiative to support the net zero transition. As module leader of the Mineral Potential Assessment from 2022 to 2024, Yanbo worked on the regional scale deep-dive mineral system study and mineral potential assessment in the Delamerian Orogen of Australia, as part of the Darling-Curnamona-Delamerian (DCD) project under the Exploring for the Future (EFTF) program. Prior to join Geoscience Australia in early 2022, Yanbo had several international appointments in government, industry and university organisations after completion of his PhD in economic geology at James Cook University.
