Jared's expertise in 3D subsurface knowledge is underpinned by 20+ years as a lead geophysicist in world-class, multilingual teams across the globe. Those teams have a strong track record of identifying new economic mineralisation in the subsurface.

Jared graduated from Curtin University with an Honours degree co-supervised by Anton Kepic from Curtin Uni and Barry Bourne from Barrick Gold. Jared went on to be employed by Barrick and encourages everyone in the audience to nurture the upcoming talent through internships and co-supervised academic and industry projects.

Jared was a founder of Gap Geophysics with Mal Cattach early in his career and went on to work for Barrick Gold, First Quantum, Rio Tinto and Terra Resources across N & S America, Australia-Pacific and Kazakhstan. He’s been at BHP since February 2019.

Jared now collaborates with the world's best technical experts, start-ups and academics as he advances a portfolio of Minerals Exploration and Resource Characterisation initiatives with Think & Act Differently, Powered by BHP, on the path to achieving global energy and climate goals.
