Our Guest rockstar

Travis Deane

Always curious. Travis has been getting outside and taking photos from a young age. Being a Geologist only provided more opportunities to capture the environment and places. The passion for photography and adventure saw Travis write hundreds of articles for Mountain Biking and Outdoor magazines in Australia and supply images to accompany the words since 2000. Travis split his time between FIFO and working as an event photographer capturing sporting events as well as corporate work. Travis also wrote and published several Mountain Bike guidebooks.

Being the "Camera Guy" on site has often meant that Travis is setting up cameras for others or helping the team with photography issues. Having one foot in the Geology/Mining/Exploration world and the other foot in photography has given Travis the unique insight into being able to apply photography based skills into a workable geology workflow.
