Anett Weisheit has lived and worked in Alice Springs, Australia’s Northern Territory (NT), in the amazing lands of the Arrernte people for over 11 years. As a field geologist with the NT Geological Survey, she had many opportunities to apply her skills as a structural geologist to exciting geological puzzles – from Palaeoproterozoic shear zones to Palaeozoic fold-and-thrust belts.
She owes her training and interest to many fantastic lecturers and supervisors at the University of Tübingen, Germany, and during her talk, she will also draw examples from her MSc and PhD studies in Cap de Creus, Spain, and Mount Painter, South Australia.
